At present, I live in Wetumpka, Alabama and work at Ridgecrest Baptist Church as a Ministries Secretary. I love my job. It is totally stress free and gratifying and I look forward to going each day. Ridgecrest is the 5th church that I have worked for in an administrative/secretarial position.
I met and married Jay in 1981. We both worked for Hensley-Schmidt Consulting Engineers in downtown Chattanooga. Jay changed jobs and started working for Blount Construction, Inc. and helped build the TVA Building. When the TVA building was completed.....we started moving from jobsite to jobsite. We have lived in many different places. Some better than others. My favorite was Omaha, Nebraska. We were there for more than 4 years and our girls see it as home because it was during their high school years. Chelsey was born in Chattanooga in 1983 and Sarah was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1986. Jay is now in the home office of Caddell Construction, Inc. and hopefully we are permanently in Montgomery until retirement.

I loved Soddy-Daisy High School. My high school years were special to me. Cheerleading was my favorite thing to do. I loved all of the ballgames and all the fun times we had. There were many, many bake sales and doughnut sales to raise money for the squad. We burned out Mrs. Dot Poe's oven one Saturday morning making a million chocolate pies.
Remember the spirit stick? I wonder what happened to it.
